Four tribals, allegedly working as couriers for Maoists, surrendered before police today in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh.
A police official said the tribals turned themselves in before Y Ramavaram police station after they "realised" their "mistake" of working for the ultras.
The quartet, identified as Korra Bangarraju, Korra Salupu, Gammila Ramesh, and Manga used to supply ration and medicines to a Naxal dalam, said Ravi Shankar, Officer on Special Duty (OSD), Operations.
He said the surrendered tribals will be rehabilitated as per the policy of the state government.
