Andhra Pradesh government today appointed Latha Ayyar as its special representative for innovation and information technology to spearhead the setting up of a Fintech hub in the state.
Ayyar is currently Chief Operating Officer if Bharti AXA Life, an official release said.
With Fintech sector opening up in India last year with several startups and incubators and investments coming in from public and private players, the Fintech software market could touch 2.4 billion USD by the year 2020, the release quoted a Nasscom estimate.

Ayyar has rich experience in the banking and insurance sectors and also in digital technology and innovation.
"I am really excited to be part of the AP government's initiative," the release quoted her as saying on her appointment.
