Continuing his consultations about his future course of action, Andhra Pradesh caretaker Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy interacted with students and youth from Seemandhra here today.
Reddy, who had resigned his post and the Congress on February 19 protesting against Andhra Pradesh's bifurcation, has been holding confabulations with expelled Congress MPs, a few ministers, MLAs and MLCs on the possibility of launching a new political party.
Lok Sabha MP Sabbam Hari, who was one of the MPs expelled from the Congress for moving a no-confidence motion against the UPA government, said yesterday that developments in Delhi with regard to the formation of a new government in Andhra Pradesh would influence Kiran Kumar Reddy's plans.
All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary Digvijay Singh who is also in-charge of party affairs in Andhra Pradesh, has been talking to ministers, MLAs and other Congress leaders on the issue of forming a new government or imposition of President's rule.
Andhra Pradesh Congress leaders have reportedly made a request in that regard to the party leadership.
Meanwhile, the Telangana Bill now awaits the President's assent, after having been passed in Parliament.
