AP CM launches pentavalent vaccine programme in Tirupati

With a view to protecting infants from five major life threatening diseases, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu today launched Pentavalent Vaccine programme in the famous temple city of Tirupati.

The vaccine would protect infants from the diseases of Diphtheria, Tetanus, Hepatitis B, Pertussis and Pneumonia, Naidu said.

It is on the World Health Organization's list of essential medicines, the most important medication needed in a basic health system.

Later Naidu inaugurated the Amara Raja Growth Corridor at Yadamari, about 60 km from here.
