The Andhra Pradesh Government would encourage establishment of super speciality hospitals in the state either in private sector or by trusts, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said here today.
Interacting with a group of medical and health experts here, Naidu appealed to the doctors of corporate hospitals to cooperate with the experts and the government in making health care accessible and affordable, a government release said.
Naidu asked experts to prepare an action plan on improving health indicators like IMR and MMR and health care services in the state and submit to the government at the earliest.

He said 25 medical institutions in the state will be equipped with Wi-Fi services to conduct virtual lessons from world-renowned experts in the field.
During the discussion, cancer specialist Dr Jagannath pointed out that a state with over five crore population has no cancer hospital. He suggested that one in three districts could have one cancer hospital, the release said.
Noted gastroenterologist Dr Nageswara Reddy gave a presentation on the importance of primary, secondary, and tertiary health care.
Noted cardiologist Dr Soma Raju suggested that quality of services can be enhanced by hiring more nurses. It would not only provide employment, but also enable the government to take quality services to remote areas, eventually leading to women empowerment.
Dr Srinath Reddy of Public Health Foundation of India said more PG institutes should be set up in the state to attract students from across the country, the release added.
