Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today asked for a comprehensive plan on possible revival of industrial units that are either closed or in red.
After conducting a review meeting with officials from departments of Industry, Power and Finance, Naidu urged the officials to undertake detailed study on aluminum and ferro alloys industries in the state and also advised the government on the initiatives to be taken to improve their financial condition.
The CM said that apparel and textile industries which provide huge employment are also facing crisis due to adverse market conditions in many countries.

Naidu said the number of textile units in the state has come down to 13 this year from 63 in 2010.
He said the number of closed units rose to 24 this year from earlier 18.
The CM said the cooperative sugar factories in the state are needed to be managed professionally.
