Former union minister and in-charge of BJP Mahila Morcha Daggupati Purandereswari raised questions regarding the Andhra Pradesh state government spending Rs 1,500 crore on the Pattiseema project.

"The state government said that it is a project aimed at providing drinking water to Rayalaseema, but we have two ongoing projects namely Galeru-Nagari and Handri-Neeva, which are also meant for Rayalaseema. Why should the government not complete Galeru-Nagari and Handri-Neeva project with the money," she said.

She said that the BJP will definitely keep all its promises made to Andhra Pradesh as per the AP Re-organisation Act.

The union government recently released Rs 1,000 crore to AP to construct its new capital as well as Polavaram, she said.
