AP govt drawing up plans to promote tourism

Andhra Pradesh government is drawing up plans to promote tourism in a big way for employment generation and to give a boost to the development.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu held a review meeting here today, where development of ancient temples that dot the state and the long coastline as tourism destinations was discussed, an official release here said.

Andhra Pradesh is home to numerous famous temples, especially in Tirupati, Vijayawada, Guntur, Chittoor, East and West Godavari districts.

The government is also planning to implement 'development missions' in the areas such as infrastructure development, services, urban development, skill development, etc, to ensure rapid pace of development.
 

These proposed missions were discussed at another meeting chaired by the Chief Minister today.
