AP govt, PepsiCo to decide on areas of collaboration on Friday

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and PepsiCo chairperson and CEO Indra Nooyi would visit PepsiCo plant in Sri City on April 3 and decide on "areas of collaboration" between the FMCG giant and the government.

Later on Friday, Naidu would also inaugurate several manufacturing facilities at Sri City SEZ, according to the state government.

"The facilities will come as a big boost to the industrial sector in the state. They are also expected to bring in investments and create employment opportunities," the Chief Minister's office said in a statement here today.

Naidu would also take part in the ground-breaking ceremony of 11 industrial units -- Rexam, Vermeiren, Cipy Pagel, KGI Clothing, Ayurvet, Brindco, Power Gas, Koncept Poly Pro, Be' Rollex, Beva Silicones and Godawari Udyog, it said.
 

He would inaugurate industrial units in Sri City of the Netherlands-based Hunter Douglas, USA-based Pharma West Pharma, China-based electronics industry ZTT India Pvt Ltd, Japan-based Nippon Seiki, India-based Mohan Mutha Polytech, Japan's Kusakabe, Singapore-based Vital Solutions Pte Ltd, India-based Siddaratha Logistics, China-based engineering firm Chung Xing and India-based Artura Pharma.

The chief minister will also engage in an interactive session with business leaders, the statement said.

On Friday afternoon, Naidu will also meet N Vaghul, former chairman, ICICI Bank, S S Badrinath, chairman, Sri City Sankara Nethralay, K M Cherian, chairman, Sri City Frontier Lifeline Hospital and Nachiket Mor, Director, Central Board, RBI.

Later, the Chief Minister will participate in the centenary celebrations of Italy-based steel major, Danieli.

He will also flag off Kobelco Cranes, first export grade crane to South Asia.

Sri City is a planned integrated business city, located near Chennai along the border of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
