AP poll: Teacher suspended for dereliction of duty

A school teacher was placed under suspension today for alleged dereliction of duty during the first phase of ZPTC/MPTC elections held on April 6.

"N John, a teacher attached to a Zilla Parishad school in Valluru village of Kapileswarapuram mandal, has been suspended for dereliction of duty on direction of district collector," said district education officer K Srinivasulu.

The elections to 536 Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituencies (ZPTC) and 7,975 Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituencies (MPTC) were held in two phases. The last phase of the poll was held today.
