Apna Dal MP alleges attempt on her life

Anupriya Patel, an MP of Apna Dal, today alleged that an attempt was made to kill her while she was returning from Lakhimpur in Uttar Pradesh after attending a function.

Anupriya alleged that a truck chased her cavalcade while she was returning to Lucknow after attending anniversary programme of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel at Gola last night.

The MP alleged that after a 15 km chase, the truck hit an escort car in which her public relation officer and security personnel got injured.

Anupriya said that she got saved due to alertness of her driver.

Alleging that founding national president of Apna Dal Sonelal Patel was killed in a similar manner, she termed the incident as serious and demanded the government proper inquiry in the matter and an increase in her security.
 

She said that a complaint has been filed at Ataria police station in Sitapur district in this regard.

Apna Dal is a BJP ally.
