In response to a call given by the Andhra Pradesh Non-Gazetted Officers' Association's (APNGOA) indefinite strike from Wednesday midnight to oppose the AP bifurcation bill, its Krishna district unit has geared up to make the strike a success.

Various employees' associations convened a meeting here today to prepare their members and discuss moves to make their strike a success.

During the meeting, APNGOA district president A Vidyasagar said that they had decided to seize Central Government offices on February 7 and the houses of Union ministers on February 8.

On February 17 and February 18, they would organise a "Chalo Delhi" programme to participate in rally organised by their state unit before the Parliament in Delhi.

Meanwhile, AP electricity employees also announced that they may go on a flash strike any day to oppose the AP bifurcation process initiated by the Centre.

Electricity Employees' Joint Action Committee (JAC) convenor Satyanandam, who addressed a mass fast protest by electricity employees here on Wednesday said that they are also ready to participate in the strike.

About 300 electricity employees had undertaken a one-day token fast against the bifurcation.
