Healthcare major Apollo Hospitals has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Fiji National University for healthcare collaboration.
As per the terms of MoU, this would entail enhancement of the healthcare infrastructure in Fiji, enabling better access to quality care for the people of Fiji with telemedicine and referral to Apollo Hospitals for advance ailments and establishment of a clinic, Apollo Hospitals said in a statement.
Content on medical education and training programmes, including e-learning portfolio will also be shared, the statement added.

Commenting on the development, Apollo Group of Hospitals Joint Managing Director Sangita Reddy said: "We have developed a special relationship with the people of Fiji and have initiated programmes to bring the benefits of Apollo model of care to Fiji."
Apollo Hospitals has created a new model of healthcare which delivers the highest standards of medical care in a cost effective manner, she added.
Apollo hospitals currently has 8,488 beds spread across 51 hospitals. It also has 1,586 pharmacies, 92 primary care and diagnostic clinics and 100 telemedicine units across 10 countries.
