Apollo Hospitals Q3 net up 3% at Rs 83 cr

Apollo Hospitals today posted 3.47 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 83.44 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2013-14.

The Chennai-headquartered firm had posted net profit of Rs 80.64 crore during the October-December period of 2012-13.

Its net sales in Q3, 2013-14 rose to Rs 993.34 crore, as against Rs 855.79 crore during the same period of previous fiscal, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd said in a filing to the BSE.

In a separate filing, the company said its board has approved the appointment of Sanjay Nayar as an additional director with immediate effect. Nayar will hold office as an independent director of the company.
 

Apollo Hospitals scrip closed marginally down at Rs 945.10, on the BSE.
