Healthcare major Apollo Hospitals Enterprise today reported 7.70 per cent rise in net profit to Rs 81.34 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2014.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 75.52 crore for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, Apollo Hospitals said in a filing to the BSE.
Total income of the company also rose to Rs 998.18 crore for the quarter under consideration from Rs 848.29 crore for the same period year ago.

Total income of the company stood at Rs 3,861.63 crore for the financial year ended March this year as against Rs 3,317.79 crore for the same period of the previous fiscal.
In a statement, Apollo Hospitals said that it added 300 beds in the last financial year. It will add another 1,000 beds across its eight hospitals in current financial year.
Apollo Hospitals in a separate filing to BSE said that the company's board has recommended a dividend of Rs 5.75 per share (115 per cent of the face value of the share) for the financial year ended March 31, 2014, on the paid up equity capital of the company.
Shares of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise closed marginally up at Rs 924.95 on BSE today, against previous close of Rs 920.15.
