A new initiative in the delivery of critical care medical services was today launched here by Apollo Hospitals.
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao launched "eAccess", an advanced technology interface that enables the doctors to monitor and provide critical care services to patients undergoing treatment in Intensive Care Units even in remote locations.
During the programme, Rao asked Prathap Reddy, Founder - Chairman of Apollo Hospitals, to scale up the services in the city by building more hospitals to meet the needs of growing populace.

This technology has a current capacity of monitoring 500 beds and can be scaled up to 1,000 or more beds depending on the need, Apollo Hospitals said.
The initiative has been launched in collaboration with Philips, a Dutch diversified technology company.
