Arhar, its dal slide on low demand

Barring a fall in arhar and its dal prices on subdued demand from retailers, other pulses held steady at the wholesale market today in restricted activity.

Marketmen said sluggish demand from retailers against higher supplies from producing belts mainly pulled down arhar and its dal prices.

In the national capital, arhar and its dal dara variety moved down by Rs 100 each to Rs 4,800-4,900 and Rs 6,100-6,400 per quintal respectively.

Following are today's pulses rates (in Rs per quintal):

Urad 5,100-6,100, Urad Chilka (local) 6,500-6,700, best 6,700-7,300, Dhoya 7,100-7,500, Moong 6,600-7,600, Dal Moong Chilka local 7,500-8,000, Moong Dhoya local 7,500-7,800 and best quality 8,300-8,400.
 

Masoor small 5,950-6,100, bold 5,900-6,100, Dal Masoor local 6,850-6,950, best quality 6,950-7,050, Malka local 6,600-6,900, best 6,800-6,900, Moth 5,300-5,600, Arhar 4,800- 4,900, Dal Arhar Dara 6,100-6,400.

Gram 3,075-3,825, Gram Dal (local) 3,600-3,800, best quality 3,700-4,000, Besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 1,430, Rajdhani 1,430, Rajmah Chitra 4,000-5,700,Kabli Gram small 3,500-6,200, dabra 2,700-2,800, imported 4,700-5,100, Lobia 4,800-5,200, Peas white 2,750-2,800 and green 2,850-2,950.
