Arhar and its dal prices strengthened by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale market today supported by rising demand against restricted supplies from producing belts.

However, other pulses after moving in a narrow range in restricted activity, settled around previous levels.

Traders said rising demand from retailers against restricted supplies from producing belts mainly kept arhar and its dal prices higher.

In the national capital, arhar and its dal advanced by Rs 50 each to Rs 5,650-5,700 and Rs 7,000-7,300 per quintal respectively.
