Arhar, masoor decline on low demand

Prices of arhar and masoor fell by up to Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale market today on the back of easing demand from retailers.

However, other pulses moved in a narrow range in limited deals and pegged at last levels.

Traders said fall in demand from retailers at prevailing levels mainly led to decline in arhar and masoor prices.

In the national capital, arhar and its dal dal prices slipped by Rs 100 each to Rs 4,400 and Rs 6,400-8,200 per quintal, respectively.

Masoor small and bold also shed Rs 50 each to Rs 3,900- 4,100 and Rs 3,950-4,200 per quintal. Its dal local and best quality enquired lower by a similar margin to Rs 4,200-4,700 and Rs 4,300-4,800 per quintal.
