The wholesale pulses market ended on a weak note today as prices of arhar and moong fell upto Rs 300 per quintal following fall in demand from retailers coupled with sufficient stocks position.
Marketmen said easing demand from retailers at current levels against adequate stocks position mainly led to the decline in arhar and moong prices.
In the national capital, arhar eased by Rs 300 to Rs 7,500, while its dal dara variety followed suit and declined by Rs 200 to Rs 10,600-12,300 per quintal, respectively.
Moong also slipped to Rs 7,000-7,750 from previous level of Rs 7,250-7,850 per quintal. Its dal chilka local, moong dhoya local and best quality were down by Rs 200 each to Rs 7,650-8,050, Rs 8,050-8,550 and Rs 8,550-8,750 per quintal, respectively.
