Prices of arhar and moth moved up by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale market on pick-up in demand from retailers against restricted arrivals from producing belts.
Marketmen said besides pick-up in demand from retailers, restricted arrivals from producing belts mainly kept arhar and moth prices higher.
In the national capital, arhar and its dal dara variety moved up by Rs 50 each to Rs 6,300-6,350 and Rs 7,650-7,950 per quintal, respectively.
Moth was also seen in demand and enquired higher by a similar margin to Rs 5,750-6,050 per quintal.
