Arhar and moth went up by Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today on emergence of stockists buying following firm demand from retailers.
Traders said fresh buying by stockists to meet rising demand from retailers against restricted arrivals from producing regions mainly led to the rise in arhar and moth prices.
In the national capital, arhar and its dal dara variety edged up by Rs 50 each to Rs 7,050-7,200 and Rs 8,450-8,650 per quintal, respectively. Moth also traded higher by a similar margin to Rs 5,550-5,850 per quintal.
