After witnessing a decline in the previous few days, select pulses led by arhar and urad showed recovery in prices and closed upto Rs 50 higher at the wholesale market today on the back of pickup in demand at prevailing levels.
Marketmen said increased buying by retailers following a pickup in demand helped select pulses to trade moderately higher.
In the national capital, arhar and dal arhar dara traded Rs 50 each higher at Rs 7,150-7,250 and Rs 8,550-8,750 per quintal respectively.

Its dal best quality and dhoya followed suit and traded higher by a similar margin to Rs 9,150-9,750 and Rs 9,550-9,850 per quintal.
Gram, gramdal (local) and best quality were up by Rs 30 each at Rs 4,530-5,230, Rs 4,830-5,030 and Rs 4,930-5,230 per quintal respectively .
