Ariana Grande refuted the speculation by a fan who claimed that her manager Scooter Braun had orchestrated her engagement to rapper Pete Davidson.
The fan also claimed that Braun, whose other client is Justin Bieber, had orchestrated his engagement to Hailey Baldwin.
"First Ariana got engaged to Pete Davidson and now Justin Bieber to Hailey Baldwin. The devil works hard but Scooter Braun works harder," the fan wrote on Twitter.
Grande disputed the fan's theory and wrote, "You do realize we are human beings who love and have lives, right? And that Scooter is a wonderful human being too who cares first and foremost about our health and happiness?"
"Love is lit. S**t happens. I hope to god it happens to you too. You deserve it," she added.
In response to another fan's joke about her manager, the 25-year-old popstar said Braun is "wonderful and very human. Always puts his artists' health and happiness first".
While Grande and Davidson's news broke on June 11, Bieber and Baldwin made things official today after the singer proposed to her over the weekend in Bahamas.
