Noted spiritual guru Swami Awdheshanand said here today that former Union Minister Late Arjun Singh solved vexed issues like dacoity with ease by winning people's heart.
"You cannot win people's heart with weapon and power but you can easily win anyone by making him your own. The senior Congress leader understood this very well and because of this only he had successfully inspired dacoits to surrender and solved the vexed Punjab problem," he said while remembering Singh on his 85th birth anniversary.
"Accepting one another is spirituality and this tolerance will teach us to win people's heart," he added.
Large number of Singh's supporters from various parts of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh were present on the occasion.
Singh was also the former Chief Minister of undivided Madhya Pradesh.
The former Leader of Opposition Ajay Singh said people of the state and the country have learnt many things from his father.
He said that his father had maintained wide and live contacts with the people even in an era when there was no mobile phone in the country.
