An armed forces policeman was arrested today at nearby Palyamkottai for allegedly attacking a couple after an argument over heavy losses he sustained in a joint share trading business.
The 34-year-old man had lost a lot of money in the business with his friend and had a dispute with him over the losses he suffered, police said.
Last night they had a heated argument following which the policeman allegedly assaulted him. The woman was also attacked when she tried to shield her husband, they said.
The woman has been hospitalised while her husband suffered minor injuries, police said.
