Three unidentified armed men allegedly looted Rs 1.14 crore from a cash van near Jalandhar district today, a police official said.
The robbery took place near the Bhogpur area when the van was transporting cash meant for ATMs from a private bank, Bhogpur police station SHO SI Surjit Singh said.
He said the van had just left Jalandhar when the robbers intercepted it and held the two security guards at gunpoint.
They fled from the spot after looting the cash, the SHO said, adding that a case was registered and an investigation was underway.
