Around 20-25 armed assailants entered some of the bogies of the train late last night when the train on its way to Sealdah had stopped at the outer signal of Eklakhi Railway Station near Malda Town.
They started looting the passengers after entering the bogies. Two persons who resisted them were attacked and suffered injuries, they said.
When the train stopped at Malda Town station, the angry passengers protested demanding security in the train and immediate medical attention to the two injured persons.
