Acting on a tip off, police assisted by troops of Rashtriya Rifles conducted an operation in the Hokarsar wetland, 10 kms from here on Srinagar-Baramulla National Highway and recovered arms and ammunition hidden underground by militants there, a police spokesman said.
He said the seizure included two AK assault rifles, 40 rounds of AK ammunition, one UBGL grenade thrower, two RDX rods and a detonator.
However, no one was arrested in connection with the recovery, the spokesman added.
