Security forces seized weapons hidden by the Maoists inside a forest in Odisha's Sundargarh district, police said today.
Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of CRPF and District Voluntary Fiorce (DVF) launched operation in Silkuta Reserve Forest near Langalkanta yesterday and seized four guns, three small bore rifles and a pistol, Additional Superintendent of Police R Panigrahi said.
He said the seuzure was made in the reserve forest area which was considered a stronghold of the Maoists.

The area is very close to Sarnda forest, which has a sinificant presence of Maoists.
