Army busts hideout in Kishtwar

Security Forces today busted a militant hideout and recovered arms and ammunition in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir.

A joint operation of Rashtriya Rifles Battalion and J&K Police of Kishtwar busted a militant hideout and recovered a huge cache of arms, ammunition and war-like stores in Hachot forest area of Padar Tehsil of Kishtwar, a defence spokesman said.

The recoveries included one AK-56 Rifle along with four magazines, one 7.62 mm SLR along with two magazines, 150 rounds of AK ammunition, 12 Chinese hand grenades, eight UBGL grenades, two wireless sets, two binoculars, two combat pouches and a set of cooking utensils, he said.
 

The General Officer-Commanding of Delta Force complimented the troops who took part in the operation.
