Army Chief Gen Rawat to embark on 3-day Bhutan visit tomorrow

Army Chief Gen Bipin Rawat will embark on a three-day visit to Bhutan tomorrow during which he will discuss ways to strengthen defence and security ties between the two countries.

Rawat will hold talks with the top brass of the Bhutanese defence forces.

He will also call on Bhutanese King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk.

The aim of the visit is to deepen defence ties between the armed forces of the two countries, army sources said.
