Army Chief Gen. Bipin Rawat would be visiting the Suratgarh Military Station in Rajasthan on December 5, defence sources said today.
He would be presenting the Standard to three regiments -- the 87 Armoured Regiment, the 41 Armoured Regiment and the 10 Armoured Regiment -- on behalf of the President in a ceremony at the military station in Srigangangar district, they said here.
"The Army chief will also interact with veterans and serving officers of the Army," the sources said.
The Standard is presented in recognition of services rendered to the nation on behalf of the President, who is the supreme commander of the armed forces.
