Army chief visits alma mater in Rajasthan

Army chief General Dalbir Singh Suhag today visited his alma mater, Sainik school in Chittorgarh here.

The Chief of the Army staff (COAS) was given a guard of Honour by the contingent Commander, Ankit Sharma, the school captain, an official release said here.

The Army chief interacted with the Principal, staff and cadets of the school and thanked the establishment for inviting him to his alma mater.

He encouraged the cadets to strive for excellence and scale greater heights in all round performance. He appreciated the tremendous growth of his Alma mater and complimented the Principal and faculty for their keen involvement and selfless services, the release said.
 

The Army chief also took a windshield tour of the campus and inaugurated the "NDA Hall" and the "Academic Block", it said.

The students had presented a breathtaking and synchronised PT display, gymnastics and horse show for the dignitaries, it added.
