The Indian Army is organising an Ex Servicemen rally-cum-medical camp in neighbouring Chandrapur district tomorrow under the aegis of headquarters Maharashtra, Gujarat & Goa Area.
The camp will be held at the District Sports Ground, Chandrapur.
Kamptee based Guards Regimental Centre and Zilla Sainik Board, Chandrapur, have been entrusted with the responsibility to conduct the event, which is likely to be attended by nearly 1200 ex-servicemen of Chandrapur.

Maharashtra Minister for Finance, Sudhir Mangantiwar, will also grace the occasion with his presence and will be interacting with the ex-servicemen to address their problems, a release from Defence PRO said.
The ex-servicemen rally is aimed at rejuvenating the ties between the serving and the retired.
It is a vital forum wherein the Army gets a first-hand account of the problems being faced by the ex-servicemen as well as to inform them of the latest welfare schemes.
The event will consist of felicitations of Veer Naris (war widows), establishment of numerous information stalls, help desks, medical counters and kiosks for the assistance of the ex-servicemen.
Also, para motor display, dog show, aeromodel demonstration, military pipe band display, cultural programme and a band concert by the Guards Military Band have been planned for the recreation of the veterans visiting the rally, the release added.
