To provide an opportunity to girl students of far-off areas in Jammu and Kashmir, the Army today flagged off an educational-cum-motivational tour of 23 girls from the remote villages of Bhaderwah to Delhi and Jaipur.
"The tour was flagged off from Batote by the General Officer Commanding, Delta Force, today. The tour aims to spread the message of peace and inspire students to tread the path of progress and development in Jammu and Kashmir," Jammu-based Defense spokesman Lt Col Manish Mehta said.
He said during the tour, the girls will visit historic and tourist places at Delhi and Jaipur. They will also get an opportunity to know educational and self-development opportunities that exist in other parts of the country.
