'Army given free hand to deal with Pak's ceasefire violations'

Congress MP Madan Lal Sharma today condemned shelling in civilian areas by Pakistani troops and said the Centre has given a free hand to the army to deal with the ceasefire violations by the neighbouring country.

"We call upon the Army to deal with such violations with iron hand. Union Government has given free hand to Army to thwart all such attempts", Sharma who represents Jammu Lok Sabha seat, said in a public rally in border belt of Ratnu chak in Samba district.

Sharma also expressed concern over the migration of people from International Border in Jammu, Samba and asked the administration to provide food, ration and health care to the people who are living with their relatives.
 

He also asked authorities in Rajouri and Poonch to visit the far-flung border villages and ensure all those affected by firing are provided the required support.
