Army Institute of Management, Kolkata, has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council.

A four-member NAAC team, headed by Prof (Dr) Yoginder Verma, Vice Chancellor of Central University of Himachal Pradesh, had visited AIM campus last month to carry out the assessment, a statement from the institute said.

Based on the assessment report, the NAAC Executive Committee has granted accreditation to AIM for a period of five years with effect from May 1, 2015, it said.

NAAC is an autonomous institution established by the University Grants Commission (UGC) to assess the quality of education imparted to students.

AIM Kolkata is the first management institute under the aegis of Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) to receive this unique distinction of being accredited by NAAC.
