Army jawan arrested for abducting girl

Case has been registered against him following a complaint by the girl's family

An army jawan was arrested for allegedly abducting a 23-year-old girl at Nagla village in the Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar pradesh, police said on Thursday.

Rahul, the jawan posted in Hisar, Haryana, was arrested on for abducting the girl from the village on July 22, they said.

A case has been registered against him following a complaint by the girl's family. The jawan, who was married, was allegedly pursuing the girl.

The girl will be produced in the court to record her statement under Section 364 of CrPc.
