Army jawan killed in road mishap in Kashmir

An Army jawan was today killed and three others injured when their bullet proof jammer vehicle skidded off a road and fell into a deep gorge in Kupwara district of north Kashmir, officials said.

The mishap took place at Khooni nallah near Kralpora, about 120 km from here, when the driver of the hi-tech vehicle lost control while negotiating a blind curve, the officials said.

They said the vehicle fell into the deep gorge resultingin on-the-spot death of the jawan and injuries to three otherswho were rescued and shifted to hospital.

The vehicle was on way to Tangdhar from Chowkibal, the officials said.
