Army jawan Surendra Singh cremated with full state honours

The mortal remains of Army Jawan Surendra Singh, who got martyred in an operation in Kashmir, were today consigned to flames with full state honours at his ancestral village in Alwar.

The funeral was performed at his farm where his seven-year-old son Deepak lit the funeral pyre.

MLA Dharmpal Chaudhary, SDO Sudarshan Singh, Additional Superintendent of Police Pradeep Rinwa among others offered floral tributes to Singh who was killed in Lolab area of north Kashmir on October 5.

Large number of local people, relatives, public representatives and officers were present to pay their respects to the martyr.
