Two persons, including an army man, were today booked for allegedly raping a girl in Ghoman area of the district.
An 18-year-old girl from Ghoman area here lodged a complaint with the police alleging that Kanwaljit Singh had sexually assaulted her on promise of marriage four years ago.
She claimed that when she got pregnant, Singh, an army man, had asked his friend Harpreet Singh to administer her some abortion pills, police said.
Later Singh refused to marry her, she claimed in the complaint.
Police registered a case against Kanwaljit and Harpreet after getting medical examination conducted on the girl.
Both the accused are absconding.
