A senior Army officer visited the forward locations in eastern Ladakh on Friday and reviewed the operational preparedness in the area of responsibility, a defence spokesperson said.
Lt Gen. Harinder Singh, the general officer commanding of the Leh-based Fire and Fury Corps, interacted with the troops deployed in the sector.
He was accompanied by the Trishul Division general officer commanding, who also briefed him about the various infrastructure development activities being carried out in the region, the spokesperson said.
Lt Gen. Singh appreciated the tenacity and dedication displayed by all ranks despite the extreme challenges of terrain and weather.
He complimented them for their high morale and urged them to continue to discharge their duties with the same zeal in the best traditions of the Army, the spokesperson added.
