Army Public School in Srinagar has resumed normal operations after the flood water was drained out from the Cantonment area, a defence spokesman said today.
"Army Public School Srinagar at Badami Bagh Cantonment opened for Classes IX to XII on September 18 and Classes I to VIII on September 24," the spokesman said.
While restoration of main school building has started on a war-footing, classes are presently being run from an alternate accommodation provided within the Cantonment by Army, he said.

He said to ensure safety of students and address their health concerns, all necessary measures are being taken by the management including provision of free mineral water and vaccination to students and staff.
Nearly 500 students have started attending school and more than 80 per cent of teaching and administrative staff has also reported for duty, he said, adding, the Principal has requested all other students and staff members to rejoin the school at the earliest.
