Army repatriates PoK resident

Army today repatriated a resident of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) who had inadvertently crossed over to India.

Abdul Rehman, son of Asgar Ali from Barnala Tehsil of Bhimber in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) had inadvertently crossed over to India on December 16, a defence spokesman said.

The Army had informed Pakistan about his details in a humanitarian gesture, he said.

After confirmation by Pakistan Government, Rehman was repatriated at Chakan-da-Bagh crossing on the Line of Control in Poonch District today, the spokesman added.
