Eight persons trapped in snow in Pir Panchal ranges in Ramban district were rescued by a team of army personnel, officials said here today.
A special team of ten army personnel rescued the eight stranded civilians from high-altitude Pir Panchal ranges in Nachlana belt of Ramban district last evening, a defence spokesperson said.
An IAF helicopter unit had yesterday rescued more than 200 people trapped in remote areas of Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir for the last two days.
