Jat quota stir: Army takes out flag march in Hisar

Army today took out a flag march in the city and cleared rail and road blockades set by Jat protesters who continued to indulge in arson and violence.

A contingent of army along with police cleared road blockades and rail tracks put up by protesters at several places, official sources said.

The army also took out flag march near village Mayyar where Jats are sitting near the rail track on Hisar-Bhiwani route.

SP Hisar Ashwin Shainwi said one unit of army and one unit of BSF is in Hisar.

Meanwhile, rail traffic on the Hisar-Bhiwani, Hisar-Sirsa, Hisar-Ludhaina via Jakhal, Hisar-Sadulpur remained suspended today.
 
Bus services on Hisar-Chandigarh, Hisar-Delhi, Hisar-Jaipur, Hisar-Bhiwani routes and other places also remained suspended due to the road blockades.

A mob had last evening set on fire a toll plaza located between Hisar and Hansi. They also burnt a generator placed near the toll plaza.
