Rajasthan Agriculture Minister Prabhu Lal Saini today said that around 80 per cent recommendations of M S Swaminathan Commission report have been implemented.
In this regard, the minister cited schemes like Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY), Soil Health Card scheme and Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana as part of the directions by the Commission.
Saini was speaking at a regional media workshop, an event organised by Press Information Bureau (PIB).

"Eighty per cent directions by Swaminathan Commission have been complied by," Saini said. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has brought in an innovation in agriculture sector with crop insurance scheme, he claimed.
Terming the GST as the biggest vision in economic reforms in the country, Saini said people in the country would earlier speak of 'black money' but now they speak of Jan Dhan Yojana and now they will discuss GST as it is the biggest vision in economic reforms.
The minister also called upon media to spread awareness about the welfare schemes of the government among the people and to examine if benefits of the same are reaching to people.
