Around 86,000 devotees visited Trimbakeshwar temple during

During the three 'shahi snans' (royal baths) in Kumbh Mela here, around 86,000 devotees visited the Trimbakeshwar temple daily, an official said.

The capacity of the temple is of only 28,000 devotees per day but during the 'shahi snans' over 80,000 devotees daily visited it, Trustee of the temple, Kailash Vasant Rao Ghule said.

The temple's premises cannot be extended for devotees convenience as many people reside around the famous temple and it is under also Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), Ghule said.

The temple management had made arrangements of snacks for the devotees at 12 sections during these days, Ghule added.
 

Meanwhile, formal declaration of conclusion of 'shahi snans' in the Nashik Kumbh mela happened with lowering of flag from the Bada Akhada.

The Dharma Dhwaj (religious flag) was lowered today by over 200 saints and seers in the presence of ShriMahanti Maheshwardas, Raghumuni, Santoshmuni.

The flag was hoisted on the Ashram of Bada Akhada on the day Kumbh mela started in August.
