The district administration has made elaborate arrangements to meet the extra rush of pilgrims tomorrow on account of Aadi Amavasaya, it was officially announced here today.
Principal Secretary (Health) Poonam Malakondaiah said in a release that the second day of the mega event, is particularly significant since it falls on 'Ashada' or 'Aadi Amavasa', when rituals to Pitrudevatas or elders are performed.
In a related development, Andhra Pradesh ministers Devineni Uma Maheshwara Rao said here today said daily 14,000 cusecs of water which will be released, will not cause any problems during the Godavari Mahapushkaram.
